The Stylistics were formed in Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania in 1966, ,
the merger of two previous groups: The Percussions and The Monarchs,
when members of both groups were dropped or withdrew to continue with their studies,
remaining under the tutelage of his English teacher Beverly Hamilton,
became what would from then The Stylistics.
Bill Perry offered to record them first.
